I have been wanting to know how to do this since i first got the program, and i cant figure out how.

Sorry for the lack of activity here.
But i personally just feel no use to use this site anymore, been loosing the love of this site more and more when i compare it to Tumblr or twitter since im more active on those. it would be best if you continued to follow me on those sites.
Also been slow since i had a lose in my family of my dad a few weeks ago, so i have been busy moving stuff with my mom. I will try my best to resume more work but as of now i am somewhat mothballed.

Well i think it depends on the person. I personally sketch with colors and a custom brush tool i made. I get as messy as I want and everything.
But if your talking about that sketchy pencil looking tool, the second one in the sai settings image below (Not mine) is a way to go.
Basically tweak your brushes like crazy until you get the desired texture and brush look you want. min. size and all!
